Our 5-axis CNC machining produces components in aluminium, steel and plastics from technical drawings, 3D models or samples. Surface finishing is available by agreement.
An enquiry is reviewed against part geometry, material, overall dimensions and tolerances. These define the required machining operations. A photograph usually does not contain all the information needed to quote, so include a drawing or model where available.
If you do not have documentation, we can discuss reviewing a sample. We agree which dimensions and properties need to be retained and what information must be prepared before manufacturing.
We machine aluminium, steel and plastics. Specify the material grade if it has been defined, together with surface requirements and any subsequent processing.
Identify dimensions that are critical to fit or function on the drawing. Feasibility and achievable tolerances are reviewed for the individual part. The required final surface finish is agreed before quoting.
The quotation accounts for setup, machining complexity, material and quantity. Include your preferred date so it can be reviewed against the work involved and production availability.
Completed parts are checked against the agreed documentation. Where several processes are needed, CNC machining can be combined with toolmaking or wire EDM. Mechanical design can also be included for parts in a new product.
